PatternIQ Mining (PIQM) does not currently carry paid advertising on its website or in its articles, and it does not depend on advertising for its income.
If the journal accepts advertising or sponsorship in the future, the following rules apply:
- Separation from editorial content. Advertisements are clearly identified as such and are kept apart from articles and from the journal's own pages. No advertisement appears inside the text of an article or in its PDF.
- No influence on decisions. Advertisers and sponsors have no influence on peer review, on editorial decisions or on the selection of content, and they have no access to information about authors, reviewers or submitted manuscripts.
- Separate decisions. Decisions about advertising are made by the publisher and are independent of the decisions of the editors.
- Content of advertisements. Advertisements that are misleading or deceptive, that are unrelated to the interests of the journal's readers, or that conflict with the journal's ethical standards are refused. Advertisements must not be intrusive.
- No endorsement. The appearance of an advertisement does not mean that the journal, its editors or its publisher endorse the product or service.
